Gotta Do It Some Time

Hello and happy Wednesday to all. I am afraid I have nothing to post today because yesterday I spent the whole day cleaning and trying to organize my craft space and I wish I could tell you I am all done....grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Let's just say things are a lot worse than first suspected...lol. I guess during my Valentine frenzy I caused a good amount of damage. I may be back later today with something or I will see you tomorrow either way have a great day.

Now for Some Thing Completely Different

I just found out this weekend that my favorite cousin Gina and her husband Blake are expecting their second child. They already have an adorable three year old Alivia. Any way I decided to make a congrats card for them. I don't usually have much luck with these clear cards but I used acrylic card stock and it made things much easier. I promise I will give you all the deets tomorrow.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will be back tomorrow and oh thank you to those who take the time not only to stop by but take the time to leave a comment. Starting a new blog is a little scary and I am determined to stick with it so the comments inspire me to do so. Until tomorrow take care.
Peace Out
Debbie
P.S. I am still having an issue with my paragraphs all running together and I am sorry for this and I am working on trying to figure out how to fix this. Thank you for your understanding.

Grrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!

Happy Sunday to you all hope you are having a good one. Yesterday I sent off all the cards I made to Patty forthe Cards 4 Kids. I hear that her goal was 1,000 and to date she has 1,600 yeah for all the stampers who got envolved in this campaign. This is the third set of 10 ATCs that I sent. I was luck enough to win this set as blog candy and thought this image would be popular amongst the young men. I do hope the children enjoy all of the cards as much as I enjoyed making them.

I have got to run for now take care and I will be back soon.

Peace Out

I love that gal. We have had a morning full of joy and tears and we feel honored to be able to witness history being made.
I am once again mentiong the Cards 4 Kids campaign. Please scroll down to yesterdays post and get the address of the site with all the info. It is not to late to do some thing wonderful.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and take a liitle time to realize the weight of what has transpired in our wonderful country today. May God bless us all and may He give the wisdom and strength to President Obama to heal our country and the world.

Happy Thursday everyone. As promised I have some of the cards I am making for the Cards For Kids event. I am having the time of my life for two reasons one I love doing anything that involves children and I love making Valentine cards. Ok, ok the the cards already....lol. Here are two different ATCs that I made. I made 10 of each they are simple but I think they are very pretty. I hope you do too.

The next few days I will reveal some more of the cards I have made. So far I have made a total of 50 and I will be getting them out in the mail today. I am having a ball and you can too just check the last post and go to Patty's blog to get all the info. Plus other bloggers have joined in the fun and are offering some awesome blog candy. Patty says if Valentine cards are not your thing they always are in need of birthday cards. I don't know about you but I can not think of a more powerful motivation to stamp than a good cause for Children.

Hope you have a wonderful day full of peace, happiness and joy. Don't forget to take the time to enjoy the little things and if your children are healthy you are blessed.

Cards for Kids

Ok I know how boring it must be to visit a blog and not see a picture of a project. I have really been crankin' out the cards for the Cards for Kids project. So far I have 50 Valentine cards made I hope to get to the post office in the next couple of days to send them to Patty. If Valentines are not your thing she also needs other types of cards as well.

You may want to stop by Patty's blog for the details. It seems like every day more blog candy is added to her blog http://rubbermaid.blogspot.com/ so hop on over to her site and get the deets. This is a great project and how can you not say yes to the kids.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and I hope to take some pics today to show you some of the cards I am sending Patty for the kids.

Sorting M&Ms?

Ok it is finally Friday and boy this was a long week. It is always this way the first week back from Summer, Winter and Spring break for kids. Man talk about tired and crabby. I know it will get better it always does and they get back in the grove. Whew!!!

So what have I done this week? I have made almost 30 Valentine cards to send to the Cards 4 Kids see info below. I plan on making more. The deadline to send them to Patty I believe is February 7th but you can check the website for all the info.

Today since I woke up not feeling well I decided to do some thing easy. I don't know who gave me this tip but I want to thank them. I went to my CVS the other day and they still had loads of M&Ms and Kisses Christmas candies for 75% off. This means I got them for .75 each. Ok so the M&Ms are red, dark green and light green. The Kisses are red, silver and green. The tip was to purchase these candies on sale and then sort them by color. What you are left with are red candies for Valentine's Day, Green for ST. Patties Day and I have not decided how to use the light green M&Ms but I am sure they could be used some time in the Spring maybe on some cupcakes.....he he. Of course the silver Kisses can be mixed in with the red or green. OK ENOUGH!!! But I must say in the economic situation we are in I will save as much as I can when ever I can. Of course the more money I save the more I can give myself the reward of some type of stamping supply....lol.

Well that's about it except for the fact that have not had heat for two days now because we need a new motor for our heat pump that is just 3 years old. Thank goodness it was still under warranty but it will be about $250.00 for labor. The other thing is the motor has to be delivered by the company and so far that has not happened. Soooooooooo needless to say we have been walking around the house very bundled. I hope that this will get resolved very soon we will see.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am going to try to take come pictures of the cards I have made for the Cards 4 Kids. Also if you have not already checked out the details about this check the post before this one.

The deadline to send the cards to Patty is 02/07/09. I know how very generous stampers are so I know we can help Patty with this project.

Let There Be Peace On Earth And.....

....Let It Begin With Me. I have always loved hearing the whole congregation singing this song it always gives me so much hope. Without hope how can we go on? We are in a time of turmoil yet we must have hope that things will turn around. I believe in the power of prayer and during these troubled times if we all pray collectively we can help to make our world a peaceful and safe place. It is never to early to start a prayer for this new year to be filled with love, joy, and peace.

My wish for every one of you is that you and yours will take a moment each day to count your blessings. If we look around I think we will all see that we have exactly what we need. Instead of living in fear of the unknown use this time to reach out to someone less fortunate and together we will get through this. May peace be with you I wish you peace.

Peace Out
Debbie
